size: 7"w x 5"H (easel closed

As I mentioned recently I spent a day creating flowers... Drew the shapes for Pansies, Jasmine, Dogwood & Cosmos, then proceeded to cut them with my electronic cutter and then scored, colored and shaped them. It was a happy play day... And today I wanted to use my Cosmos...

They remind me of my fraternal grandmother. In her front garden was a huge patch of cosmos. Normally they are considered annuals, but she had so many, they propagated themselves each year. It was such a pleasure to see when I visited...

I'm using an A Way With Words dies  "Happy Birthday Small" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm also using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design

("Some People Like Flowers...")

Scored and folded my pinky/mauvish toned cardstock to create the easel. Cut another piece, same size as card and adhered to front.

Die cut the Venise Lace Frame (Spellbinders - Beeca Feekan from Amazing Paper Grace blog ) from white cardstock, stamped the quote using Versafine Black Onyx an clear embossed. Used the insert die as a mask and inked the edges with Versamark , embossed with Pearlescent embossing powder. Adhered to card front. Adhered pale amber half pearls.

As mentioned above created the cosmos flowers. The centers are rolled, dipped in white glue and the dipped into some yellow Prills. I didn't have a feather type leaf so drew a bunch of lines to look like the leaves, scanned, and electronically cut from green decorate cardstock. Adhered everything to the front.

Tied a fork bow using variegated Sari ribbon.

On the floor: Die cut the embellie piece from the Venice Lace set, cutting away a part of the design. Adhered the points together to create a long line and adhered to floor with 3D foam tape to act as my stopper.

Die cut the "Happy Birthday" from a pinkish cardstock, inked with Versamark and Emerald Creek "Chinese New Year" embossing powder.
