I was recently steered to a technique I haven't tried yet using Versamark stamp pad and pigment powders... and gave it a whirl BIG GRIN

Here is the uTube link   by Kim Dellow

I'm  using an A Way With Words die from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Happy Birthday", also available on Quietfire Design HERE

And using a quote and design element stamp from Quietfire Design

("Music Expresses That Which..."); ("Crackle Background")

I created the background for the front and floor on Arches 90# HP watercolor paper. Inked the crackle stamp with the Versamark and stamped, then inked and stamped again to fill my paper. Sprinkled a touch of Brusho's "Moss Green" over the stamping and used a Perfect Pearls soft bristle brush to pounce the colors (like a makeup blush brush). NOTE: Do not swirl or smudge the pigments.

Tap the excess pigments off the paper and then lightly spritz with water.

NOTE: not too much water or you'll just get a very watery undetailed look...

Scored and folded my green Bazzill monochromatic cardstock to create the easel.

Trimmed down my background and adhered to a blue Bazzill monochromatic cardstock then onto the same green as the card then adhered it to the front of the card.

Die cut the musical frame (Find It Media Holland) from the blue Bazzill cardstock. Cut it apart as needed and adhered to front.

Stamped the quote using Versafine "Majestic Blue" and clear embossed

On the floor: Adhered another piece of the background, layering if first n the blue and then onto the floor.

Die cut the "Happy Birthday" from a scrap blue cardstock. Painted with Distress dabber "Twisted Citron", then immediately sprinkled Emerald Creek Embossing Powder "Fractured Ice" and heat set. NOTE: this embossing powder gives such an interesting effect - you've got to try it... BIG GRIN

Adhered it to a piece of the green cardstock and then onto the floor to act as my stopper.

Adhered a large green heart button using a glue gun, first tying a piece of green string.
