I finally got my Oxide pads and finally was tempted to play. It's been months since I've had this feeling... I love the look that these pads create. Soft, atmospheric, romantic... I'm not sure what I want to put on the inside of the card, so that will have to wait for another time...

I'm  using an A Way With Words die from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Hugs", also available on Quietfire Design HERE

And using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design

("The Origin Of Love...");

Created the oxide background by smushing the pads onto my craft sheet ("Cracked Pistachio"; "Broken China"; "Fossilized Amber"; "Worn Lipstick";) misting generously with water and patting my cardstock into the wetness. Dried. Trimmed down.

Stamped the Bamboo tree (Inkadinkado "Asian By Design") using the oxide pads ("Walnut Stain" on the trunks & "Peeled Paint" on the leaves). I had used my Misti, so inked the edges of the trunks with Distress Black Soot and re-stamped.

Stamped the Stork (Local King Rubber "Cherish" 6pce set) using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossing.

Stamped the quote with the Onyx and clear embossed.

Pulled out the die cut "Hugs from my stash and adhered to background.

Adhered to a couple scraps from my drawer -  blue scrapbook paper and a textured orangey tan cardstock then onto my card front.
