ID: MC Jun/17 - Easel Lace Macaw - ECD Thanks - For All You Do card
size: 7"w x 5"h (easel closed)

Created: June 5, 2017
Modified:

This is one of my Oxide backgrounds I made a while back. Still loving those subdued looks...

I'm using an A Way With Words die "Thanks" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm using a sentiment stamp from Quietfire Design.

("Thanks - cuddlers" 7pce set)

Scored and folded my Mid toned brown cardstock to create the easel, and cut another piece same size for the front.

Adhered the background to the front.

Die cut the lace fro the background, inked with Versamark and embossed with Pearlescent embossing powder. Adhered to front adding the lace floral trim. Die cut the thanks from a gold flecked cork paper as well as from the brown. Layered the 2 together slightly offset and then onto the card front.

Cut the little flowers with my electronic cutter from a Color Burst decorated pink paper. Tooled them, adhered strategically and adhered a mini pink rhinestone.

Created the larger flowers from a 1.5" circle, then cut around the edge of the circle with a decorative pair of scissors. Cut the circle in an 8 pie shape and added color to each edge of the pie shape. Tooled the petals, then adhered them around on a small 1/4" punched circle. Added Prills to the center.

Die cut the flourish (Tim's Bigz die) from a decorated paper from my stash. Inked with Versamark and embossed with Emerald Creek "Fractured Ice" embossing powder. (This embossing powder gives the most unusual effects. Love it...)

On the floor:

used another section of the Oxide background paper for the floor. Adhered to floor with 3D foam tape. Added one of Tim's flourishes and a couple of the pink flowers

Electronically cut the macaw shape, then stamped using Versafine Black Onyx. Colored with Prisma colored pencils. adhered the bottom section of the bird to the floor to act as my stopper.

Stamped the sentiment with the black and clear embossed.
