ID: TH 103 Day 5 - ECD Remember - The Rose Of Time - Season's Greetings card
size: 5"w x 7"h

Created: August 7, 2016

I'm taking the "Summer of Creative Chemistry" onLine class from Jennifer McGuire taught by Tim. This card is part of day 5 of class 103. I've been very lax in doing my projects... and the galleries are now closed. Sigh!! This technique is called "Alcohol Landscape Painting Technique"

I'm using one of the "A Way With Words" dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs  ("Best Wishes"), designed by Suzanne Cannon  also available on Quietfire Design HERE

And I'm using quote stamps on the inside from Quietfire Design

("Deep Within The Forest..." 2pce set); ("Here and There the Dark..."); ("Blessed Is The Season..."); ("International Merry Christmas" 6pce set)

size: 4.25"w x 5.5"h

I cut a piece of Yupo 4.5 x 5.75". Applied several colors of alcohol ink onto my craft sheet ("Pool", "Sail Boat Blue" & Raspberry") then added some blending solution and swiped my Yupo through the wetness in a sky type direction. Added more blending solution for the skies of the other 2 cards.

Dropped some ink onto the Yupo ("Mushroom", "Espresso" and some "Pool") and using a the flat of a straw, wiggled it up and down to create my mountains. Dried.

Stamped the pine trees (Old Island "Timber Twins") using Versafine Black Onyx and while still wet, rubbed off the ink with a paper towel, leaving a ghost image behind. Over stamped the trees again with the black and allowed to dry.

Stamped the line of trees (Red Rubber "Winter Stream") using Distress Picket Fence and embossing with white embossing powder very carefully. Yupo is not heat stable...

Since my ink was still not totally dry by the next day, I gave to sprays of Krylon Workable Fixative.

Adhered to my side folded blue card.

On the inside: stamped more of the trees using "Forest Moss" and here and there with "Black Soot".

Stamped the quote on a deep blue cardstock inked with the Picket Fence and embossed with the white embossing powder. Die cut using Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Ovals die set.

Stamped the Joyeux Noel with the black and clear embossed.
