I pulled out my Brushos to play a bit and get out of my slump...

I'm using  an A Way With Words dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Dream" also available on Quietfire Design HERE

Also using a quote and sentiment stamp from Quietfire Design on the inside

("You Are Never Too Old..."); ("Happy Birthday Plain & Simple" 7 pce set)

Created the background using watercolor paper misted with water, then sprinkled with various Brushos, misted with more water. Allowed it to dry slightly and then sprinkled with kosher coarse salt. When totally dried, removed the salt.

Trimmed down. Used my Misti and stamped with the largest butterfly (Penny Black "Butterfly Trio"), using Distress Picket Fence and embossing with white embossing powder. Then inked the body only with Versafine Black Onyx and embossed with Emerald Creek "Oil Rubbed Bronze" embossing powder. Edged the paper with a black marker and adhered to card front.

Die cut the "Dream" from a cream toned cardstock, inked with the picket fence and embossed with the white. Adhered to card front.

Added a spray of pearl flourish on the butterfly tail. Also adhered some Sari Ribbon and a pink floral button.

On the inside: stamped the quote and sentiment using the black and clear embossing.

Stamped the butterfly on a piece of scrap background, inking with Distress "Dusty Concord" and clear embossing, fussy cut around it and adhered to inside.

Used my Misti again and stamped the flower spray (Flourishes "Bees & Blooms") inking with the picket fence and embossing with the white.
