One of the gals from our quilling group taught the "Faux and Fancy Lace Technique". I remember doing this technique eons ago - everything old is new again... HERE's the card I made. It's wicked on the fingers... I need to find my adhesive eraser. Then I decided to try something... Laying the adhesive onto my craft sheet, moving it around to get the holes and lacy effect and then pressing my cardstock onto the adhesive. Works really well that way and real easy on the fingers. BIG GRIN

At the last group session, I decided to make a bunch more of the punched flowers and here are some of them on this card. They're made with a circle punch from a smoother type of mulberry paper.

I'm using another one of the newest  "A Way With Words" dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs which will be available soon ("Forever"), as well as one from a previous release "Friends"; both available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE

I'm using quote/sentiment  stamps from Quietfire Design   ("Friendship Isn't a big thing..."); ("Twirl and Enjoy" 3pce set); ("Happy Birthday Plain and Simple" 7pce set)

Scored and side folded my white cardstock. Layered a piece of copper toned patterned wrapping paper leaving a 1/8" border all around.

Created my faux lace piece on white cardstock. Using the brown liner type ATG tape, apply it onto my craft sheet. Used my finger to roll/distort the adhesive creating a lacy look, pressed my white cardstock onto the adhesive and lifted. Sprinkle with various glitters and then some copper leafing. Burnished and removed excess with a toothbrush and my finger. Painted with Art Quest "Pastel" palette. Trimmed down. Edged with a reddish pad and embossed with copper embossing powder. Wrapped a gold/gold Sari ribbon, and then adhered to card front.

The flowers were punched with a 3/4 circle punch from a yellow toned medium thickness mulberry paper. Edges hit direct to paper with a Distress pad (some with "Rusty Hinge", some with "Salty Ocean"). Dried, then tooled. Adhered the petals in 2 layers of 3 petals onto a small 5/16 punched circle. Added some Beadz (beads in a glue mix from eons ago...) and some regular beads, Set aside to dry - takes a while... I wanted stiffer petals, so sprayed with Starch spray. (still not stiff enough for my liking, needs experimenting...)

Adhered the flowers to card front, adding die cut leaves (Elizbeth Craft Designs "Curvy Leaves") from Brusho colored watercolor paper. added the bow

Die cut the "Forever" from white cardstock covered with the copper wrapping paper.

Added the butterfly (Elizabeth Craft Designs #713) "from my stash.

On the inside: inked the flower sprig (Penny Black "The Unfolding") using Distress minis ("Broken China" and here and there with "Picked Raspberry", "Olive Green" on the leaves and some lack on the stamen) misted with water and stamped.

Quote and sentiments stamped with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

"Friends" die cut as the "Forever".
