At our last quilling session I taught the ladies to make one of those dress forms I've been making recently... I'm sitting at my desk trying to figure another way to enclose it other than and accordion frame or just plunking it on top of a card... Then I thought why not try a double diamond but with  an off set for a box.... and this is the result BIG GRIN.

You can see the other cards I made a couple years ago HERE (green & Template) & HERE (white) and the more recent cards HERE (Paris In Spring - Pinks), HERE (Fairy Paper dress) and HERE (Ribbon Dress).

ID: MC Apr 16 - Off Set 3D Double Diamond - White Dress - ECD Live, Love, Laugh - Celebrate HB card
size:
6"w x 10"h x 1" thk (card closed)

Created: April 8, 2016
Modified:

Using several of NEWEST  "A Way With Words" dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs  ("Live"), ("Love"), ("Laugh"), designed by Suzanne Cannon also available on Quietfire Design HERE, HERE and HERE

I'm also using a bunch of sentiment stamps from Quietfire Design

("Twirl & Enjoy" 3pce set); ("Happy Birthday Plain and Simple" 7pce set)

I scored and folded my white cardstock, splicing 2 of them together and adding a 3/4" additional section for the box.

Cut some acid free foam core to create the inner box, adhered it to the floor and sides.

Embossed a bunch of white cardstock using Cuttlebug Anna Griffin "Rosa" embossing folder. Some I colored with Distress "Old Paper" direct to paper, sponging "Antique Linen" , hitting the high points with "Tea Dye". Others I used "Picked Raspberry" direct to paper then sponging with "Mustard Seed". Cut the various papers to fit where needed, the floor, inner & outer sides, upper frame, and diamonds.

Die cut some lace (Joanna Sheen "Harriet Lace Edger") from white cardstock. Hit the high points with the antique linen. Adhered to diamonds trimming the excess.

When everything was assembled, I added the roses (Die-Namics "Hybrid Heirloom Roses" from my stash) and pearl flourishes to the front.

For the upper small folded area, covered it with gold patterned rice paper.

Cut long triangles and stamped with the birthday sentiment repeatedly inking the stamp with the picked raspberry and hitting here and there with the mustard seed or vise versa then clear embossing.

Adhered the dress form into the box.

Die cut the Live, Love Laugh words from white & deep pink cardstock. The white one I inked all over with Versamark, then tapped the word with picked raspberry pad, then embossed with Emerald Creek Hot Stuff "Soft Fallen Snow". Love the way the pink peeks through. Adhered the white layer and pink larger off set then onto the box.
