I was continuing to play with my color burst...

I'm using a circle quote stamp I haven't used in a while and one of my favorite sentiment stamps from Quietfire Design as well as an eCut birthday words available on the Silhouette onLine Store.

("The Butterfly Counts Not Months" 5pce set);  ("Twirl & Enjoy" 3 pce set); eCut ("Happy Birthday")

I scored and folded my mango cardstock into an easel card.

Created a stencil using Tim's "Mask Sheets" which have a repositionable adhesive on one side and using Spellbinders "Dahlia" die set. I used both the stencil and drop out piece as a mask, positioning the stencil, wetting the surface of my Canson Biggie watercolor paper, and bursting some Ken Oliver Color Burst (yellow & orange). Removed the stencil and dried. Inked up an outline flower (Altenew "Floral Motifs" using Distress "Ripe Persimmon and stamped. The outline image was smaller than my die cut area, so used an orange pen (Pilot G-Tec) to hand draw the outside petals. Masked this flower to create the other two.

Stamped the Butterfly circle using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed, then stamped the "enjoy your day".

Selectively dry embossed the butterfly/flowers on opposite corners using my hard rubber mallet and Couture Creations "Serene" from the Serenity Collection.

Die cut the butterfly from gold metallic cardstock. Traced around the butterfly with my x-acto knife on a piece of white cardstock with Sookwang tape.  Adhered the outline to the solid butterfly and sprinkled with Stickles dry glitter in "Yellow", "Thistle" and "Eucalyptus". Adhered to card along the body only.

On the floor adhered a piece of variegated 4"w silk ribbon using Sookwang tape.

Adhered the flower buttons as a stopper using a glue gun.

eCut the "Happy Birthday" from white cardstock and while on the mat colored in a linear streak with Distress mini pads "Mustard Seed", "Ripe Persimmon, & "Picked Raspberry". Removed from mat and clear embossed. Adhered to a layer of white cardstock then the mango cardstock, then on to the card floor.
