ID: MC Dec/15 - Snowflakes & Mittens - Warm Winter Wishes card
size: 7.25"w x 5.5"h

Created: December 3, 2015

I'm using a couple of the newest eCut files from Suzanne available on the Silhouette onLine store. Loving that snowflake...I absolutely love this Tea Cup die from Poppy Stamps...

The rubber stamp sentiment on the front and all the stamps on the inside are by Quietfire Design

("Warm Winter Wishes"); ("Flourished Ornament" 4pce set); ("Snowflakes are the Butterflies..." 6 pce set); eCut files ("Flourished Mittens"); ("Berry Leaf Snowflake")

I had top folded my white card after eCutting the decorative edge to follow the contours of a fancy die... and then set it aside.  So I resurrected it. Dry embossed it with Sheena Douglas "Snowflakes" embossing folder.

eCut the mittens and shadow layers from white cardstock and colored with various Distress pads (Twisted Citron, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Spun Sugar), embossing the flourish area with "Wild Honey" embossing powder and adding white flocking to the mitten cuffs. The heart was colored with a red marker. Adhered to card front.

eCut the snowflakes from white cardstock. Inked the top layer with Versamark and embossed with Silver Opal embossing powder. Inked the underlayer with "Spun Sugar" and embossed with pink embossing powder. Adhered the 2 layers together and then onto the card front.

Stamped the sentiment using "Picked Raspberry" and clear embossed. Cut close to stamping, cutting off the corners and inking around the edges with the raspberry pad. Cut a couple slits and tied some Sari ribbon. Adhered to card front with 3D foam tape.

On the inside: stamped the Merry Christmas circle using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Stamped the ornaments and then the words using the black and clear embossed. Colored with Koi Coloring Brush pens.

Added a doodled chain for each ornament using a Distress marker "Shabby Shutters"

Since I hate top fold cards because they ALWAYS fall flat... I added a little easel attached to the back of the card and the front to slip in to.
