I made one of these flowers a couple weeks ago and said i probably wasn't going to make it again... but here is another one. This time I didn't leave the petals rounded, I shaped them with pointed ends facing upward. You can see the first one I made HERE. This time I made my own quill strips using my electronic cutter and used Canson Ingres paper. Painted the strips with Distress acrylic Daubers "Mustard Seed" and "Scattered Straw" on both sides. after the flower was assembled I sprayed it with Perfect Pearls Mists "Sunflower Sparkle"

Then on the Quietfire Creations DT group we were discussing what types or brands of flowers we used... Well if you ever read my descriptions, you know I make everything myself, even though I have drawers and bins filled with premade stuff. I decided to raid those drawers ROFL.

I'm using parts of a couple Quotes & sentiment stamps, from Quietfire Design .

("The Woods Would Be Very Silent" 5pce die set); ("Twirl & Enjoy" 3pce set);

I side folded my cream toned card.

Cut a piece of brown leatherette cardstock slightly smaller than my card front. adhered a piece of white lace on the left and bottom edges, wrapping the ends around the leatherette. Then adhered a piece of Sari green/gold ribbon.

Adhered the feathers, skeleton leaves, paper leaves and lotus using my glue gun, then adhered the quilled leaves. added the white pearl flourishes.

Stamped the sentiment using Versafine "Toffee" and embossed with Queen's Gold" embossing powder.

On the inside, stamped the bird image (Stampendous "Jumbo Songbird") using Distress pads "Peeled Paint" all over the leaves, then here and there with "Forest Moss", on the bird "Mustard Seed all over and parts touched with "Salty Ocean", misted with water and stamped.

Stamped the quote (Sing as if...) and sentiment (Enjoy Your Day) using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Added faux stitching lines using a Distress Marker "Forest Green". Die cut the corner (Cheery Lynn "Lace Corners" set) from cream cardstock, sponged with some peeled paint and a bit of "Gathered Twigs".

Punched the left hand border (Martha Stewart Layered Arches") from cream cardstock and sponged a bit of brown.
