ID: MC Sept/13 - Gate Fold - Merry Xmas card
size: 5"w x 7"h

Created: September 7, 2013

I taught a Funky monoline class yesterday, and it hit me when I was demoing using white ink outline letters on black and coloring with iridescent type watercolors that it would make for a fabulous Xmas card done on a dark green or dark blue... This is the result of that thought...

I'm also using a  "Christmas Cuddler" sentiment, the small snowflakes and a quote on the  inside from Quietfire Design

I drew my word "Merry" on some calligraphy paper and then transferred it onto the dark blue cardstock. Outlined with Copic Opaque White ink mixed with water (50/50) and used a Nikko G pointed pen nib. When dry, used both Finetec watercolors and Yasutomo watercolor palette and my water brush.

Stamped the "Christmas" word with Versafine "Toffee" and embossed with "Silver Detail". Trimmed the piece down and layered on to a light blue cardstock.

Scored and folded my white cardstock into a gate fold style. PS mine overlaps rather than meets in the center.

Layered a piece of dark blue Ruche decorative paper to the front panel, then my calligraphy panel.

On the inside panel I layered a piece of gorgeous Oriental scrapbook paper (Kodom Inc "Winter Garden").

Die cut a bunch of snowflakes (Sizzix Tim's movers & shapers "Snowflakes") from white cardstock, put a layer of white glue and sprinkled with Crystal Snow glitter. set aside to dry and then adhered to card.

Stamped the little snowflakes with Perfect Medium and embossed with Kaleidescope embossing powder.

Added to blue pieces of narrow ribbon as a border on the left side.On the inside I layered a piece of the blue cardstock and stamped the quote with Versafine Black Onyx.
