ID: MC May/13 - Quill Double Fringe - A Friend HB card
size: 5"w x 7"h

They say practice makes perfect... I'm still practicing, but now instead of every 4th or 5th double fringe flower I'm getting it after the 2nd flower. I'll eventually get to the point of every flower working out... BIG GRIN

I'm also using one of the Quote Marks Friendship quotes stamp and one of the 10 tiny sentiment stamps on the inside from Quietfire Design, .

Side folded my white cardstock. Embossed with Cuttlebug "Chicken Wire" embossing folder.

I've wanted to do an inside corner punch circle or oval for ages... I finally did the oval and used Martha Stewart's "Bubbles" corner punch. I die cut the oval with Spellbinders "Petite Ovals Large" set from white cardstock, then inserted the punch in the hole and started punching around. I came pretty close to having them evenly spaced...

I sponged Distress Mustard Seed & Worn Lipstick all over and trimmed down to fit my card. Stamped the floral sprigs (Flourishes "Blooming Aussie Florals" SS209), some with only water to lift and give a ghost type image, some with the Worn Lipstick.

Stamped part of the quote onto one of the drop out ovals I die cut with Versafine Black Onyx. Punched holes to match the punched oval piece, then threaded a red narrow ribbon to hold it in place and as a decorative element. Adhered this layer to black cardstock, then on to my card front.

Adhered my double fringed flowers adding a large golden half pearl on top of the tight coil center. The flowers are made from bright yellow copy paper, folded in half and the folded edge sponged with the Worn Lipstick then trimmed down to the width I wanted approx a touch more than a 1/2". The bottom flower I added regular fringing around the tight coil before coiling the double fringe piece. Added the black flourishes rather than leaves.

On the inside, stamped the rest of the quote on another oval drop out piece, sponging with the above colors and stamping with the red. Stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and die cut with Spellbinders "Fancy Tags" set sponging with the red.
