MC May/13 - Queen Anne's Lace -
Sympathy card
Created: May 25, 2013 I got this newest die the other day and really wanted to use it. It's just so pretty. I was playing with the die cuts on my desk that I was using to catalogue the die and realized layering the flower head several times made an even nicer flower... BIG GRIN I'm also using a sentiment stamp from Quietfire Design, .

I side folded my white cardstock. Die cut some Spellbinder ovals to use as stencils and masks for my sentiment. Stamped the sentiment with Versafine Vintage Sepia and clear embossed. Used the die in the mask to sponge some color around the edges in green and browns. Placed an oval mask over the words and sponged heavily with the brown. Used a die cut (Cheery Lynn "Italian Flourish") as a stencil using Distress Gathered Twigs and sponging to the edges of the card front and keeping my last oval in place. Using the same stencil, sponged over the brown background creating a 2nd layer of designs. Die cut the flower (Memory Box "Graceful Silhouette") from white cardstock and sponged distress colors on it. Cut away the stem and leaves from 2 more die cuts and applied white Puffs to the floral areas and heated to activate, then adhered the layers and adhered to card trimming where necessary. Final touch adding the white half pearls. |
