One of the Flourishes challenges is "Outside the Box" - basically stamping your image and cutting into it to fit whatever die you're using so some of it sticks out of the die cut. I like using this technique and I think it worked well on this card.

I'm using the Capital letters form the Italic alphabet set from Quietfire Design

I stamped the individual letters using Perfect medium and clear embossing on regular white cardstock, leaving enough space to die cut them after. I then die cut them (Spellbinders Classic Squares Large) and ran them through again to emboss them. Sponged Distress Old Paper around the square, concentrating my intensity near the letters. I cut out the square shape from some paper to use as a mask for the stamping of the black line design (Flourishes "Winter Bouquet" #75) using Versafine Black Onyx. Ironed off the embossing between clean newsprint.

Stamped the small Dove image (Flourishes "Doves & Holly" #69) with the black, cut around the area I didn't want cut off when using the square die, then ran it through my machine. Sponged with the Old Paper and used watercolors for the image.

Did a side fold card, layered with a matte bright red paper (Paper Roots gift wrap), layered with a dark charcoal grey (Wasau metallic cardstock), then adhering my die cut squares. Added a glittered and rhinestone decorated sticker  embellishment.
