Well now that I've gotten started on these lace flowers, I can't seem to stop. This time I paired two different lace trims together. Really like the fluffiness of them in real life.

It uses a Quietfire Design quote from the "Friendship" set.

I started with a main card of Kraft cardstock. The next layer is a white cardstock, sponged with Distress Spun Sugar and Victorian Violet, then punched around with a Martha Stewart Corner punch "Monarch Butterfly". I used the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder and my rubber mallet to selectively emboss certain areas. The corner butterflies were colored with a Quickie glue pen and Ritz Micro fine glitter "Lavender" and a deep rose oval shaped rhinestone for the bodies.

Next layer is the variegated ribbon (picked up the other day with all my lace trims and that golden silk material). I used Heat 'n Bond to adhere it to a piece of white cardstock, stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed it, then onto my card, first attaching the large lace flower with the brad.

Each piece of lace was sewn with a running stitch along the edge and then gathered. I then sewed to each other. I picked up this gorgeous cardstock backed silk fabric at my local stamp supply store. The one I used for the daisy die cut is a lavender color and die cut with Heartfelt Creations "Daisy Patch" die set. I had to help the cut along with my scissors. I then put a Prima E. flower in the center (white with yellow polka dots) and then attached them all with a pink pearl brad.

I added a white garter elastic to my variegated piece. The two buttons are hand made. I used a button the other day that I really liked, so made a mold of it with Suze Weinberg's Mold 'n Pour. I then melted some Pearl UTEE in the Melt it Pot, then added a touch of Fuchsia and then into the mold. Trimmed off excess UTEE after it was cooled, then sewed it to my elastic ribbon.
