I came across these coiled flowers in a rubber stamping store done with twine and a misc thing in the center. Came home and made a bunch, but using glittered metallic cord and regular & floral rhinestone centers. I then did another of my twists and added circles to mimic the petals. Really like the way they turned out...

The red/white & blue card uses white cardstock and Barn Door for the high points of the embossing, the mauve pink card uses cream toned cardstock and Victorian Velvet. The thread is Needloft Craft Cord "Gold Frizette" #55034.

Both cards use a sentiment or quote rubber stamp by Quietfire Design

Flower: I punched out a 1"circle for the small flower and a 1.75" circle for the larger flower. Adhered my rhinestone center with Golden's Extra Heavy gel medium and allowed it to firm up before doing the coiling. I then spread the gel over the rest of the circle and started coiling. I unravelled the begin of the thread so it wouldn't have a lot of thickness and unravelled the end as well. I then ran some cardstock through my embossing machine with the Sizzix Dots folder and rubbed Distress on the high points. Punched out 3/4" circles and adhered them to the backs of the coils, overlapping the circles slightly.

The background was first done, direct to paper & then sponged with Distress Fired Brick, Barn Door & Aged Mahogany on white cardstock, then run through my machine with the "Pyjama Stripes" folder from the "Every Day" bundle set, then sanded down.

White ribbon adhered as stems, then flowers adhered. Swirls die cut with Sizzix "Swirls" die #654989 and adhered to card. Peg bows made with a dark blue gauze ribbon and a star charm hung from the larges flower bow. Staples added in a criss-cross manner to mimic cross stitch sewing. I then added lots of Liquid Pearl dots on the swirls using Ranger's Liquid Pearls White Opal.

The inside of the card has a scrapbook paper covering all the staples and other wires I used to attach my bows.

For the second card, I layered a piece of Core'dinations light pink from the Nostalgia pad onto the mauve toned main card. Rubber stamped various butterflies (Flourishes sets "Gerbera Daisies" & "Clematis & Butterflies") using Memento "Lilac Posies".

I sponged various Distress greens and a bit of brown (Peeled Paint, Crushed Olive & Brushed Corduroy) onto a piece of white cardstock to create the background for my leaf/flourish die cut (Heartfelt Creations "Belle Rose"). Added veins with a colored pencil. Stamped the rubber boot (Darcie's "Plant, Grow, Bloom" set) with Versafine Black Onyx, then brushed on "Mustard Yellow" distress and colored the rest with prisma colors in mauve & pink, then added some Ritz micro fine glitter on the rim with a Quickie glue pen and Lavender glitter. Cut it out and adhered to card, then adhered the leaf/flourish, then the flowers.

Stamped the quote with Versafine Imperial Purple.

The little butterfly was punched out from some misc cardstock using a Martha Stewart punch, micro fine glitter "warm highlights" covered the wings and I touched the edges with a Tombow purple marker and added a pink rhinestone body.
