I've been curling thin strips of paper lately to make a larger piece of art, but all of a sudden I wanted to veer off and made this card...

This card also uses a quote stamp by Quietfire Design

Started with the main white card and used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. The next layer is a white cardstock with the Cracked folder from Tim Holtz. I sponged Fired Brick on the high points and around the edges, I then followed with Barn Door and Aged Mahogany. Stamped the quote with The mahogany. I rubber stamped the faux stitching (Tim Holtz) using Versafine Red Satin & a touch of the Black Onyx. I stamped the ladybug (unknown stamp) with the black as well and colored the body with a red colored pencil.

My next layer were the red swirly curls. I ran a piece of red paper through my pasta machine using the linguini setting. I then used a bead roller (Chuck's bead Roller), they're a great little gadget and I used the 2 smaller sized ones. Put the sprung coils in some glue and adhered to card.

Next layer was the poppy pod silhouette image. It had some other details so I manipulated the image in my photo editing program and then cut it out with my Cricut using a thin black cardstock.

Last detail was the butterfly, punched out using Martha Stewart Large Monarch punch. I then smeared it with a glue stick and added some Stampendous Crystal Snow Glitter and some Ritz micro fine glitter Regal Red. I adhered the body only to the card and then added the two blue rhinestones for the body.
