I folded my white cardstock in half and
die cut it with a Grand ovals Nestabilities die, keeping one edge
just shy of the die. Then folded one of those ovals in half to
create the easel. Cut a couple of purple ovals with an
electronic cutting machine. I die cut another oval from white
cardstock for my main decorating surface.
I used several embossing folders, using
my hard rubber mallet to selectively emboss where I needed. Craft
Concepts "Wings" #900-000 for the floor of the easel. Crafts
Too "Blossom" # CTFD3048 for the bottom of the main oval. I left a
thin area for my ribbon which I twisted & glittered (micro fine Ritz
glitter "Lavender"), then did a strip of faux stitching using Sizzix
Tim's "Zig Zag" folder from the Pattern & Stitch set #657198. The
upper area with the words is a Cuttlebug "Love is in the Air" set
#2000221, and I only used a couple words from it and the small heart.
I colored the digi image with Prisma
colored pencils, then added some Glossy accents to the vase . I had
printed a 2nd image to cut out the buttons, which were also coated
with Glossy Accents.
I used 3D pop dots for the vase and
flowers, then used more pop dots for the buttons.
The quote was stamped with Versafine
Imperial Purple and clear embossed. I die cut it with another
Spellbinders oval, sponged some Victorian Violet on the edges,
creased it and adhered that to the floor of the easel. I added 3
small gold half pearls.
I punched out the butterfly using
Martha Stewart's Punch Around the Page corner punch "Monarch
Butterfly" #42-50017. Used my Quickie Glue pen and then sprinkled
with Ritz Micro fine glitter "Stardust"
The last detail was adding the 2
letter brads HB which stand for "Happy Birthday"
