I love these recent Pearls & Lace Spellbinder dies. And I just got this Martha Stewart Monarch butterfly punch. I've looked at it for ages and said I really don't need it since I can cut it out with my Cricut, but then I broke down and bought it anyway... Don't ask. And I love both stamps, neither of which I think I've used before - I think, but I could be wrong. The floral one is from The Stamp Barn and the quote is a recent one from Quietfire Design.

Now this started out to be a submission to Vamp Stamp News with the challenge of alcohol markers, and then I got side tracked...

I Stamped the flower sprig with Versafine Black Onyx on a glossy coated paper (I think Luna Gloss text) and clear embossed it. Then started coloring it in with Copic Markers. I also colored the rest of the paper with a pale yellow.

Die cut the circle from white cardstock, cut around some of the stamped floral details so they would sit on top of the die cut. Trimmed it down and layered it onto an ochre toned Bazzill Monochrome cardstock then onto a pale yellow Bazzill cardstock edge to edge with my main off white card.

Added yellow toned half pearls in alternate spaces and Stickles Distress Mustard Seed in the other spaces, but painted so it was a thin layer with a hint of the yellow stickles.

The butterfly was punched from white cardstock and colored with Tombows and clear embossed (a lot of coats...)

The quote was stamped with the Black and clear embossed and then i wrote in the authors name.
