ID: MC Dec/11 - Ornament - Fa La La card

I just bought this ornament die and wanted to use it. It's one of Tim's movers & shapers dies, and then the rest happened because of a bunch of challenges...

And this week's challenge on Created By Hand is Xmas.

I'm using part of a stamp from the latest  Xmas stamps from Quietfire Design

I die cut 4 pieces of 110# white cardstock with the ornament die and the "Joy" text from the movers and shapers. Then I die cut one without the word. Sponged Distress Broken China & Faded Jeans on one of the text pieces, clear embossed it, tapping off excess powder, heat set and then sponged some Frayed Burlap. On the solid piece I adhered a piece of tissue paper with music text to the area that would show through. I then adhered the 4 layers of text ornaments together. Used a silver Krylon leafing pen on all the text edges. Adhered the solid ornament to the stack and used the Silver pen on the outside edge. Silver embossed the little hanging doodad. Applied Glossy Accents to the text and sprinkled Ritz micro fine glitter "Royal Blue". Filled the text spaces with Glossy Accents. Let dry. Added various blue rhinestones and silver half pearls. Attached to card at the end with silver metallic embroidery floss.

Used the Cuttlebug Joy & Cheer" embossing folder on its side and embossed the front of my card, shifting the folder over and repeating  to do the whole card. Lightly sponged with my dirty blue sponge applicator. Adhered various ribbons - white gauze, silver snowflake, silver and various blues in a striped pattern on the left side of the card. Did a zig zag stitch across the top and bottom.

Stamped the words with a Perfect Medium pad and embossed with white on white cardstock. Used Distress Stains Broken China & Faded Jeans to color the background. Dried and just cut out. Adhered to card.

Die cut the gears (Sizzix Tim's On the Edge "Gadget Gears") from white cardstock, colored with the Stains, lightly sponged with the dirty blue applicator and sprinkled with silver embossing powder, tapping off excess, heat setting and applying more Faded Jeans into the crevices. Trimmed the front of the card so the gears could be adhered to the inside and end on the edge of the card. Adhered a couple rhinestone butterflies.
