I so want to win the newest stamp sets from Flourishes. The first one that's being shown is something I can see myself use over and over again. So keeping my fingers crossed and to have a chance of winning it, I needed to play in their challenge of Sunsets either as a real sunset or use the colors of a sunset.  Here in Calgary, we have some pretty vibrant sunsets, I mean like reds and pinks all over... but I wanted something a little more subdued, so went with one of our average sunsets - BIG GRIN

I'm also using one of the newest stamps from Quietfire Design

I smeared streaks of Adirondack Dye Ink (Butterscotch, Ginger & Red Pepper), on my craft mat, misted with water and smooshed my thin glossy paper through it. Let dry, trimmed down  to fit my embossing folder (Cuttlebug "Bamboo" from the Asian Bundle) and used my hard rubber mallet to emboss. Didn't want the paper breaking from too much pressure through the machine. Smeared a Ranger Adirondack Brights "Pebble" over the high points and then lightly wiped it off.

Stamped the quote with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Stamped the little sentiment at the bottom (Flourishes) with the black also.

Die cut the border (Spellbinders "Parisian Accents" #S5-034) from white cardstock, dry embossed and sponged with Distress Walnut Stain. I then swiped Spiced Marmalade and Scattered Straw over the whole thing, leaving some white areas.

On the main cream card I layered a dark brown cardstock from Core D'nations "Elements" pack, then my sunset piece, then my border piece.
