Poinsettia Meadows card
Created: August 30, 2011 I normally don't make top fold cards, I really hate them... but I guess I had no choice this time... I'm also using little snowflake stamps from Quietfire Design they're so cute, hard to see since they're white. |
I die cut the poinsettia border
(Spellbinders) from some cream cardstock, sponged Distress Fired
Brick, extending in to the leaves, then with Shabby Shutters in the
leaves. It gave a nice little contrast where the colors overlapped.
I went over the flowers with a red Tombow marker, then outlined the
petals with a Squeeze 'n Roll glue pen and sprinkled Ritz micro fine
glitter regal red. When dry, curled and formed the petals to stand
out. I wrote in my quote with a Nikko G nib and Sumi ink in a funky lettering style, masked it off and used the bullet tip of a red Zig Wirter to make my stripes, then with the glue pen to make thinner lines and sprinkled Ritz micro fine glitter white. Stamped the little snowflakes with Perfect Medium and embossed with white embossing powder. Adhered the poinsettia border and added Liquid Pearls Rouge dots all over. Quote: and onwards, as bells of San Salvador Salute the crocus lustres of the stars, in these poinsettia meadows of her tides. Harold Crane not sure what the quote means, but it seemed to fit this card... |
