At our last Guild meeting in September, we all played with writing and making marks with white ink products on black cardstock/paper.  we were then told to take it home and use it in some way and bring it back to our October meeting. This is what I did with mine.

I'm also using an Xmas quote stamp from Quietfire Design on the inside

I picked up an Xmas Ten Second Studios Kabuka mold - really nice. Ran it through my machine with a piece of their gold/aluminum metal. Added some bees wax on the back to keep the embossed areas from distorting. - now don't laugh... boy did I make a mess when I thought of a bright idea. When you fill the cavities with the wax, you have to be careful not to overfill them and to also scrape away the excess wax. Well I thought, why not put it flat in my electric frying pan, it would melt and level out nicely... It sure did level out, but ran underneath too - what a mess. I was able to salvage a small section which is on this card, the rest I ditched. Sigh!!! lesson learned.

So since I had these little squares, I decided to frame them with embossed lines and the best gadget for that is my Scor-It board. Cut some of my decorated papers from the meeting, added some white pearlized embossed paper and some pearlized plain paper.

I also wanted some calligraphy, so wrote with my pointed nib and the same white ink I used on the decorated paper in my funky style.

Now I had this bottom bare area, so die cut some circles with Spellbinders circle die set. Punched out some small circles from the white metallic paper and adhered them to the card along the score lines. Added some black Enamel Accents along the lines so they stood out more. Added Glossy Accents on each of the circles.

On the inside I stamped the Flourishes "Winter Bouquet" set #75 twice with Versafine Black Onyx, used Daniel Smith watercolors, loosely. Stamped the quote with the black and die cut with the circles die and adhered over the bouquet images.

Stamped the holly sprigs (Flourishes "Doves & Holly" set #69) and painted with DS watercolors. Added some white gel pen dots in the berries.
