As I mentioned on my last card, I love doing Saran Wrap backgrounds. This is the one done on 110# cardstock (the other one was on cheap watercolor paper). Both worked well and gave different results.

Saran Wrap Backgrounds is also the theme on gg designs this month. Deb Lovett gives a nice tutorial for the background.

So I now have one more Xmas card for my stockpile. Maybe there won't be too much of a rush this November.

So I used a Sizzix Movers & Shapers Magnetic die I just bought "Ornaments 2" #656444. Die cut the white cardstock, then did the Saran wrap technique.

I misted my paper with some water, added some water to the colors and just randomly applied them in a single brush stroke across the paper, then with the other color, letting them bleed. I then went in with touches of the black. Allowed the colors to sit a few minutes and do their thing, then pressed my scrunched up saran wrap on top and putting a weight on everything for a couple hours. This one turned out a bit lighter than the one on watercolor paper, but still had strong color to it.

Put a piece of Sookwang tape behind the opening and sprinkled Ritz Ultra Fine glitter Warm Highlights and then burnished well. Removed the release paper from the back and jus t put a small piece of white cardstock there. Trimmed it down and layered it onto my black main card. Added some Sharpie details, the hanger and string.

Wrote in the letters to spell NOEL using a Silver gel pen and then coloring it in with Super Ferby Metallic colored pencils and touches of Prisma colors.
