ID: MC July - Pear-Fect Friend card
Created: July 3, 2010 The 4 pears is another image I was playing with on my Cricut. Love this easel card. I'm not particularly enamoured of pears unless they're picked right off the tree. My aunt used to have one in her garden - yum.

OK so as I mentioned I started with the 4 pears, cut them out and colored them with a layer of Derwent watercolor pencils, wet it to set, dried, then colored on top with Prisma colors, then added speckles by sprinkling Sumi black ink with a toothbrush. Drew myself an oversized pear, then created my easel. Didn't really want another whole pear, then decided to make it the inside of the pear. Sponged Distress Peeled Paint around the edges and a bit in the white area, misted with water, dried. Used colored pencils to do the center thread and seeds. Cut a separate piece for the leaves and stem. Wrote in my words with a Micron pen. "Here's to a Pear-fect Friend" Colored the floor and the inset on the floor with Derwent watercolors, and then wetting it to set. Adhered my 4 pears to the lip of the inset, cut around the pears, then adhered it to the floor. Rubber stamped the sentiment (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Black Onyx.
