This car is in the July2010 Card Maker Magazine. The theme was Summer Thank You cards.

I quilled a bunch of 1/8" quilling papers into tight coils and cut them in half for the florets. Adhered them to the card with white glue. Added the waxed linen thread stems. Punched some Rock Fern leaves from some decorated green paper.

Rubber stamped the Old Island swirl stamp onto some vellum and gold embossed them then punched it out with the Paper Shaper dragonfly punch. Adhered the body only so the wings could be lifted up slightly for a 3D effect. Rubber stamped the sentiment (Quietfire Design) with Versafine stamp pad Black Onyx. Punched holes in the cardstock and sewed with metallic thread in copper. Mounted this to a white textured mulberry paper and then onto an apple toned green cardstock.
