ID: Gilded - Fall Leaves - In My Thoughts
5"w x 7"h

Picked up this beautiful rubber stamp of fall leaves by the Stamp Barn and just had to do something with it. I also realized I've been doing a lot of side fold cards, so this one's a gate fold. The inside has a gold parchment stationary paper with the same leaf rubber stamped in the upper left hand corner with a Versafine stamp pad, mix of Olympia Green & Vintage Sepia.

I Stamped the leaf onto some Arches 90# HP watercolor paper and colored it in with Tombows. Used a Coluzzle - Nested Fat Ovals #44-4094 to cut my oval and then cut around the leaf shapes. Used a Distress stamp pad and sponging tool and Vintage Sepia to color the edges around the oval. Cut out another oval the same size from a deep brown cardstock and off set it under the leaf oval. drew in my lines for the gilding. I used La Dore adhesive and I'm not happy with it again. The batch I decanted is too thick and shows the brush marks through the gilding. In this case it's ok since the pattern I used are leaves. I really should throw this stuff away.

I used my Scor-It to score the folds for my gate fold. Adhered the oval off the edge of the left side. I used the same stamp and rubber stamped it onto more w/c paper, colored it with the Tombows and cut it out, eliminating some of the leaves. Adhered it to the right side of my card, leaving one leaf un-glued for the leaf in the oval shape to slip under and keep the card closed. Added one of my gold calligraphic Peel Offs sentiments

NOTE: These are some of my calligraphic word sentiment Peel Offs on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" labels. There are 12 styles available at the moment. They come in four different colors (gold, silver, black, and white); "Thank You", "It's a Boy, It's a Girl", "You're Invited" Congratulations" "Happy Birthday & "Love", "Friends", "Thinking of You", "Xmas Seasonal", "Xmas" & Happy Anniversary". There are a few more coming out some time in 2009 or early 2010.
