I did the prototype of this design in a gilding class I took recently and got an order for this one to be done in "real gold".

I used Strathmore Artagain black cardstock which is a nice weight for the main design. Used real gold leaf (Roberson #80 a 23.75 warm gold) with Jerry Tresser's size. I then used various stylus points for the embossing. Colored in the border area with Super Ferby metallic pencils (in a yellowish green and a bluish green tone). Cut out my design and layered it to another piece of Artagain cardstock then onto the olivey Bazzill monochromatic toned cardstock then onto the main textured black cardstock. The "Thanks" is done with a Mitchell nib and Ecoline Gold ink. The dots are the Roberson gold again applied with a Quickie Glue pen.
