Bundle Alphabet Book: Wrapping During a
class taught by Lorraine Douglas in March of 2005 called "Cut Paper
Letters" I had a great time layering washes on pieces of Arches Text
Wove Paper. This was the first time I had tried this type of paper and
loved it. We put washes on both sides of the paper letting them dry before
doing the other side. We also used blotting paper torn up and cut into
shapes to pick up some of the paint and excess moisture creating negative
and positive areas. We then cut up our larger papers into small square
pages and cut out funky style lettering, adding calligraphy and embellishments
or other decorative cutting areas. I went a step further and bound my
individual pages using mulberry paper. I then made a wrapping for my
booklet and some closure ties.
