I mixed up some Opera Pink gouache, water and gum Arabic. After writing each letter dropped in some blue on the shadow side using a pointed pen.

November 3, 2016 all lettering done with a folded pen. All the lettering on white paper is done on an unknown/unmarked brand, that has a really nice weight and works well with calligraphy. |

ID: Walnut Ink
Exemplar I love the effect of wet walnut inked letters blotted up with a paper towel. It leaves such a nice textured look to the letters... You can't see it in the exemplar, but if you look closely at the detail pic below you can see a gold stroke in the first line of letters and a pink stroke in the next line... I added a brush stroke line in the thick strokes using StarQuest Mica Colors Interference palette.
