Glittering Vines

I'm taking another class with Heather Victoria Held, this one hosted by the Edmonton Calligraphy Society. 

 

ID: "Q" for Quietfire Design 

After day 1's exercises, I decided to create a piece with one of my workshop designs... On Arches HP 90# watercolor paper outlined the design with a brownish Micron .005 pen. Applied Intercoll adhesive and Robertson's 23.75 warm gold leaf, then tooled the vertical stripe. Colored the elements with mainly Derwent watercolor pencils. Added Stickles Star Dust glitter to the dragonfly wings. Adhered gold gems using Gem-Tac glue.

Size: 6.5"w x 8"h

On Arches 90# HP W/C paper inked in my design with a brown toned Micron pen. Gilded with 23.3K gold leaf. Painted with various w/c paints. Added crystal mini gems. Tooled the central bar.
