Both these letters were done with Prisma colored pencils, a touch of white in the "K" and blended with a Lyra Splender Blender. Blue dots were added to the "J" and glitter and gold dots to the "K". |

Joy was also done with Prisma colored pencils. the flourishes with a green Zig marker and leaves and flowers were rubber stamped using Versafine stamp pad. Some gold dots were added. Compare it with the "J" in June below |
June was also done with Prisma colored pencils. the flourishes with a black Micron Pen after the rubber stamping of the leaves and flowers. I had penciled in the path for the flourishes so I had an idea as to where to put the leaves. Rubber stamped my leaf and flowers onto a piece of tracing paper, cut off that little section so it was easy to manoeuvre, erased my pencil line in that area of my flourish, then rubber stamped using the tracing paper image as a positioning guide. By erasing the lines the flowers and leaves blend better within the flourish lines, rather than looking like they were just put there. The quote was written with a micron pen in the "Basic" lettering style from Class #1.

I recently bought an EK Success
Jumbo flourish punch and had so much fun punching out and
trimming the flourishes for this very graphic black and white
Flourished Versal.
PS the black glossy paper I used was first run through my Zyron so there was no messy gluing of fine lines. You don't always need color to make a statement or to have "punch" to a decorated letter. |
|
After doing the very graphic "B" I wanted to do something with some Oriental paper I have. I also used a cream toned cardstock so did the decorating with a gold gel pen and outlined with a black Micron pen. |
