"Opaque Envelope Exchange - Loretta July/08"

Created: July  21, 2008
Modified: July 24, 2008

Size: 5" h x 7.5" w

I've been itching to use my Dogwood rubber stamps again and said this is it. Used a dark brown cardstock for this envelope. Rubber stamped both Dogwoods (the smaller sprig is from the Magenta Botanicals set, & the larger flowers is a wood mounted Botanical #L1228) using Brilliance Gold pigment stamp pad and thermal embossing with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Colored in my

Dogwoods with a white Prisma colored pencil and added some peachy detail.

The Lettering was done with Ecoline Gold and a Hunt 56 nib in a funky style. When dry went in with my colored pencils (same as for the flowers) and accented some of the letters or shade areas.

For each envelope I made a card with the details of how I made the envie. I love the central piece of artwork/background. It's made with Pan Pastels and Krylon workable fixative. To see the instructions please click on this link "Pan Pastels - Cards Opaque Envelope"

I punched out the 2 corners (Marvy & a Corner Adorner) to slip my background into from a piece of bright yellow Bazill monochromatic cardstock and then adhered it to another Bazill cardstock (brownish color). I rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with gold pigment stamp pad and Queen's Gold embossing powder.
