Yogi's Decorated Envelope Exchange 2008 "Env1207_MaggieA"

Size: 5.5" h x 7" w

I used a cream end sheet Folio paper for this envelope. I started out smearing Golden's Iridescent Bronze paint onto a piece of glossy black paper, spritzing with quite a bit of water till the paint separated, then pressing my cream paper on top and separating them. I love this paint and the greenish color that results from this technique. I let it dry completely (ps the black will be used for another project). The coloring and the way the patterns emerged, made me think of the sea and the foam on a shoreline, so I rubber stamped the shells (Evolving Images #37) and bull rushes (Posh - Cattails) with Brilliance Dew Drops Pearlescent Crimson and Detail Copper embossing powder. I used a black micron pen and monoline style for the address, hugging the outline of the shells. For Maggie's name I drew an outline image of a serif font and colored it in with Sakura Stardust Gel pens and a water brush to move the color around. I have a passion for frogs, including frog postage, but it was perfect for this envelope, so I let one of them go....
