Stampede 13 - Nasturtium

Size: 11" x 9"h
Matted: 14" w X 12"h

Created: June 5, 2013
Modified: July 7, 2013

This piece won a 3rd place ribbon in mixed alphabet category

I love nasturtiums and usually have them growing in my garden. Again I'm using my Fickle font using a pointed pen, and another style that I created "Job Wouters Style" and a parallel pen with Sumi ink on Arches Text Wove paper.

I drew in my flower and colored with Prisma colored pencils. Added gold leaf squares to the title word.

Quote: Nasturtium literally means "Nose Tweaker". The Latin name "Tropaeolum" is a fanciful reference to the battle victory trophies which the Romans hung on poles called "Tropaeum"
