At the last Guild Pot Luck meeting we made postcards. Fun evening. Thanks Kerri

I'm using a calligraphy style I saw samples of done by Rachel Yallop. When I saw those words, I was intrigued, so went about creating an exemplar for myself.

I used a Hot Off The Press "Flower Corner" embossing folder on white cardstock. Hit the high points with Versafine Vintage Sepia and embossed with gold embossing powder.

Painted the flowers with QoR watercolors.

Wrote the text with a Parallel Pen and Sumi ink. Fussy cut around the embossed edge and adhered to a deep blue cardstock.

I inked a Crackle Background stamp (Quietfire Design) using Archival Aquamarine pad and rolled the stamp here and there around the edges.

Inked the flower stamp (Penny Black "Passionate") using Distress mini pads in various pinks and greens, misted with water and stamped.

Border, faux stitching design with a gold gel pen.

Love this Penny Black stamp ("The Sweetest Song") which I inked with Distress mini pads, misted with water and stamped.

Sponged edges with "Broken China".

Ran a piece of white cardstock through my machine using the Hot Off The Press "Paper Wishes" (Postcard) embossing folder inking the folder with the appropriate colors. Dried thoroughly.

Inked the high points with Versafine Vintage Sepia and clear embossed.

Sponged a bit more of the brown around the edges.

I masked off a border using post it notes and stamped with the  Crackle Background stamp (Quietfire Design) using Archival "Saffron" & "Venetian Orange".

Stamped the Lady Slipper (Power Poppy "Orchids Rock") using Versafine Black Onyx. Colored with Prisma colored pencils.
