And another piece I created for an upcoming show being held by our Guild (1st week in May 2014). Keeping my fingers crossed...

OK so I wasn't that impressed with the piece I did yesterday and decided it need some color so redid it... also made the background less pronounced. Love the way it turned out now...

Brayered Memento dye inks onto my Gelli plate (yellow, green, orange, fuchsia), misted with water, mushed around with my finger to blend a bit, and picked up the ink in the area of my main words to keep them as white as possible, then placed my watercolor paper down and burnished.

Drew in my boxes (squares, circles & hearts), then wrote in my main words with the bullet tip of a Zig black marker. Added the doodling with the fine tip and some with a Micron pen.

Wrote in the descriptive words with a Nikko G pointed nib and Sumi ink mixed with some H2º in my "Fickle" font.

So I used all the same elements as above, except the background was a 2nd generation print from the Gelli Plate and then I overlay another pull with just brayed yellow.

The coloring done with Prisma colored pencils and burnished with a Lyra Splendor Blender.
