Our Guild (BVCG.ca) has a theme of pick an artist, create some artwork in his/her style and then do something calligraphic with that style... I hadn't realized it was not a calligraphic artist I was supposed to pick but a regular artist... Lucky I found out before I made anymore.
I love creating these type of flowers called "Dot Flowers". They're created by place 3 or 4 watercolor dots in the center and then with a wet paintbrush creating the petal shape and allowing the paint dots to flow. You can get nice hard and soft edges. I used my Daniel Smith watercolors.
With a pointed pen and the watercolor wrote out my quote.
