This is just so not me. But when my friend sent me an e-mail and had this quote in it, I just new I had to do something with it. Now to find a pic to go with it. A few years ago in our ByHand Artists group we had a swap where each of us compiled a bunch of images on a page so that we could use them for transfer techniques. Well this is a weird scribbly face and was only about 2" sq. A little small for my artwork. So I scanned it at a very high resolution so that I could enlarge it without too much distortion. I also manipulated the image so that it was a black and white pic when I printed it onto Grumbacher All Purpose paper. I then used Graphitint "Shadow" and moved the color around with water and a large brush. Dried it thoroughly. Then did my calligraphy using a 2.4 Parallel Pen with Moon Palace Sumi ink. I picked up this style of lettering in a class by Lisa Engelbrecht in April of 2007. Can't believe a year has gone by already.
