This was the 3rd piece I did for the BVCG galleria, commemorating Alberta's Centennial.

I used 110 lb white cardstock. I drew in my large number 100, then using a pointed brush and masking fluid, I wrote the words "one Hundred" over top of it. When dry I painted in the large numbers in the background with Birdwing Copper pearlescent acrylic ink. When that was dry I covered it with masking fluid. Again when dry I laid in my background of burnt umber acrylic ink and spritzed it with water. After that was dried I removed all the masking. Using a pointed brush and Twinkles H2o watercolors in a two toned effect for each letter in golds, turquoise, greens and fuschia. I shadowed the letters with a thin line with a black pen then used my rheostat and hot mark tool and white embossing powder to lay accent marks (2 dots and a line). For the large numeral I shadow accented it with a gold gel pen. Then using a black gel pen put in cross hatch lines.
