I
went a little overboard with this mingle. I created a 16 page
booklet with the story of Lord Buddha and the meanings of the
hand /finger positions. I used a parchment tan colored
stationary and used my computer to create and print the text. I
sewed the spine with a 2 ply walnut brown waxed linen thread and
a gold metallic thread. Added a couple of stone beads to the
ends. Glued the back page to a dark brown Mi-Tientes cardstock.
I rubber stamped the flower (Time to Stamp part of "Flowers
& Leaves") with Versa Mark Dew Drops stamp pad
"Jumbo Java" and colored it in with some diluted
magenta colored gouache and added Schmincke Rich Pale Gold
metallic powder. I wrote the quote using a script type nib
and various colors of gouache that had the gold metallic powder
floating on top. The "I" is one of Suzanne's new Caps
Rubber stamp set.
