Quotation DecoVl: Spread for
Nadia
Size 5.5" w x 6" h page (opens to incl. tabs 13" w x 6" h) I recently came across some oriental styled napkins which I really loved. I used the design on them to inspire me for Nadia's deco. I hand drew the design onto Arches text wove paper. Painted the flowers and butterfly with watercolors, using iridescent medium to move my colors around in the flower section. It gave them a nice shimmer. I then painted the background with Moon Palace Black Ink mixed with a touch of water. When that was dry I applied my adhesive for my gold leafing of the maze squares. I wrote the quote using Platinum Pink Pearlescent acrylic ink in my funky style of lettering. Quote: Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be. For the front of the tag I used a single layer of the
napkin I mentioned above and glued it to the tag. I wrapped copper foil
around the edge. I used a pink "Silver
Shadow" pen by Sakura to write another quote

Auguste Rodin For the back of the tag I wrote my name in my Kersals lettering using my thermal embossing technique with gold embossing powder. I painted in the letters using pearlescent acrylic inks. My e-mail, location and date were done with a 3D glaze pen (various colors) by Sakura. My web site was done with a Excel gold gel pen.
