Wings DecoV for AnneA:
The tunnel booklet is decorated on both sides. I used Arches Text wove paper, I drew a circle in about the middle of the page, rubber stamped a large flower and various types of butterflies  on one side of the paper and overlapping the circle. I painted in the butterfly and added glitter on part of the wings, and outlined the flower using my rheostat and hot mark tool and a purple toned embossing powder.  On the other side of the paper  I used Twinkles H2o to paint the butterfly and the flower and then outlined it with my black pigma pen. I cut out the negative spaces in the circle. I attached my pages using a thin strip of decorated Japanese rice paper. I printed out the text for the short story and cut and pasted it.

The story reads:
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force it's body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther. So, the man decided to help the butterfly, he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But, it had a swollen body, and small, shrivelled wings. He continued to watch the butterfly, because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shrivelled wings. It was never able to fly. What had he done in his well-intentioned kindness and haste? What he did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required to get through the tiny opening were nature’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into it's wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved it's freedom from the cocoon. Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life.  If we were allowed to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been . . . And we could never fly . . .Have a great day, great life, and struggle a little . . . Then fly!!!  Author unknown
