This week's challenge was to use Pastel colors.

The thought behind this triptych was to dream whatever you wanted, then to believe in the dream and then to begin doing something about it.

Well I love pastel colors and what better product than to use my Pan Pastels for the background. I used white cardstock and cut out a triangular shape and a circular shape from a piece of clear plastic to use as a stencil. I used my foam sponges and all the pastel colors I have with a few regular colors mixed with white to get a pastel tint. Since I was wiping the colors each time I applied them using a makeup pad, I didn't need to "fix" the pastels. I rubber stamped my Drama Queen (Cornish Heritage Farms #CDD-659) with pigment ink for each (gold, copper & Pheasant Gold) then thermal embossed them (Queen's gold, Copper Detail, Clear). Rubber stamped the words (portions of Quietfire Design rubber stamps) with one of the above colors.

The black border was done with an AMuse Photo Corner rubber stamp, gold stamp pad and Queen's GOld embossing powder. I cut out the inner section to create the frame which was applied to the background cardstock. The middle ATC has the bottom section of the gown cut out so that it falls on top of the frame.
