July 29, 2008 - Color Blue & a Moo

You're asking me what's a Moo?? First time I've heard that term, but apparently it's artwork done on a very small size (approx 1.1" x 2.8") and then we also had to use the color Blue. These 3 Moo's are the start for the ATC series

Size:  1.1"w x 2.8"h each Moo

I went on a huge roll... I created a Pan Pastel background (click on the link at the bottom of the page to see the details for this background and the ATC's I made from them), then cut it up into Moo sized pieces. I incorporated three themes. The CBH challenge, Monochromatic and Asian. I think I did a bang up job...

I started with a piece of LBS cream colored end sheet from Columbia Mills. Smeared Pan Pastels (Ultramarine Blue, Turquoise, Phthalo Green, and a touch of Permanent Red), then blend it together with a make up pad. Went over some areas again with the same colors. Used an eraser to remove color and put some lightening bold lines. Also used a plastic stencil and my eraser to write out some words. Then sprayed it with Krylon workable fixative.

I have a lot of cancelled postage stamps, many given to me by friends, so I thought I'd raid my stash. I used word rubber stamps from Quietfire Design.
