Each card is made from a half sheet of 8.5 x 11" cardstock and either landscape or portrait orientation. I had fun making these and I still have black background left over. I started with a piece of 8.5 x 11" plain white cardstock which I covered with pieces of textured black paper. I then, cut my background in quarters and then some of those in half again. Mounted most of them onto white pearlized cardstock. The main card is black value pack cardstock. All stamping is done with white pigment ink and white detail embossing powder and most are Quietfire Design rubber stamps. |
I rubber stamped one of the flourish stamps to create a border Added a couple Peel Offs in the open spaces, the four corner dots and the text. NOTE: This is one of the designs on the Peel Offs "Love" sheet that have just been released and will be available around Feb 2008 to retail outlets, It comes in gold, silver, black, and white. There will also be "It's a Boy, It's a Girl", You're Invited" Congratulations" "Thanks & "Birthday". Two more will be coming out later in the year I think.

I used the small flourish rubber stamp. Wrapped the inset with 2ply waxed linen white thread and glued down a white pearlized glass glob. Rubber stamped the word "Memories" onto Echizen paper which is really nice white core textured paper |
Added a piece of mulberry patterned paper under my background. Some white Peel Offs for the corner and dots and a black Peel Offs heart. the white cast paper is a part of one of my slurry castings on texture plates (available at Quietfire Design). "Thinking of You" is part of a value stamp.
