I used cream toned LBS end sheet paper from Columbia Mills for the accordion card. I used two new products on this card. The first being the "Memory Essentials" jumbo Get Rollin'. It's like a Rollagraph, but you can put clear rubber stamps or other things you want on it to create repeat patterns, at least that's how it's advertised. Well it doesn't work with all clear rubber stamps and it took me a while before I found rubber stamps that actually worked on it. Forget about using Inkadinkado with it; Fiskar's Heidi Grace was a trial, some of the smaller ones stuck, but anything a bit larger kept lifting off; MSE worked well and Hero Arts, which is what I used for the card worked well. There are other brands I still need to try. I also punched out designs from thin Fun Foam and stuck them on. Worked well. I stamped the border with a clear stamp pad and then embossed with White Gold. Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design "Learn to Write...") with a Versafine stamp pad "Vintage Sepia". The quote stamp is altered from the original. I need the stamp to be all on one line, whereas the stamp is actually written on two lines. It was also a bit short for my card so I repeated the end portion and added the three dots between the end of the quote and the repeat portion. The flourish quote on top is (Stubby Stampers #4039) done with a black stamp pad and Holographic embossing powder. The other product that's new is the Fantasy Film. Interesting product. I've seen wonderful stuff done with it, but I have a long way to go to get anywhere near what I've seen. I used three colors onto an inked rubber stamp of a large dragonfly. Then colored in the wings with Micro Glitter by Glitter Ritz and metallic and Glaze Gel pens. Cut it out and stuck the body section to the card with Diamond Glaze. The other dragonfly is the same rubber stamp but done on Clear Shrink Plastic and colored in with the same gel pens and baked in the oven to shrink. |
