I've used one of the Textured Word stamps from Quietfire Design. |
I started with a white card,
layered it with one of recent Metallic papers - a grey/white leaf
pattern. Then I added a decorative strip on the left side with another
metallic paper - white on white checkered metallic which was adhered to
a blue distressed type paper. Normally I don't use Designer papers, but
when it comes to these - I have no qualms - I love them... Die cut several Spellbinders circles from white cardstock and applied various techniques: Largest (Flourishes "Damask" bkgr'd) stamped with Perfect medium and clear embossed. Painted with Daniel Smith watercolors (Ultramarine Blue & Rhodinite Genuine) dried, edged the stamping with a pencil and blending it a bit for a shadow, ironed off the embossing. Smallest, uses the same stamp, stamped with Versafine Toffee and embossed with JudiKins Rustique Tin Can and painted with the Rhodinite. Medium ball, Uses the reverse stamp of the Damask bkgr'd, stamped with Perfect Medium and embossed with JudiKins Translucent Gold and painted with Phthalo Turquoise. All the balls were layered on to the blue distressed paper, using the subsequent circle die and cutting around the edge of it. Added the braided silver/blue metallic rope and a blue ribbon bow on each ball. The word stamp was stamped with Versafine Majestic Blue, clear embossed and die cut with Fancy Tags 2, sponged around edges with Faded Jeans Distress pad, and both ends I applied glue and Pro Art Glitter "Crystal" (chunky style). Adhered it to the card with pop dots. |
