May 10/11  "Lined Page - Write You Letters"

This weeks theme is the Lined Page/Journal

I love the way this card came together. I started with Tim's Sizzix Notebook Page embossing folder on cream cardstock. Then I added the Kraft main card - a nice milk chocolate type color.

I've used a couple quotes and a sentiment by Quietfire Design., as well as the cupcake

I inked up the Cuttlebug Divine Swirl with Perfect Medium, used it as a stamp on the front of my card, then clear embossed it. Stamped the quote, bottom left corner with Versafine Black Onyx.

Ran a piece of cream cardstock through my machine with the Tim's Sizzix "Notebook" embossing folder, sponged Old Page and Frayed Burlap on high points and torn edges. Added the lace trim on either side with some double sided tape. Stamped the quote and sentiment with the black. Added some Quickie Glue in the heart and some micro fine glitter "Warm Highlights".

Made a ribbon flower using Becca's technique with my twist of doing it with 2 colors of ribbon (yellow and orange gauze ribbon). The buttons are polymer clay which I pressed in to one of my molds and baked - but baked to long or on too high and it puffed up and started to burn. I love the way they turned out, so organic. They were attached to notebook paper with some embroidery floss. The leaves on either side are done with Air Dry polymer clay in a premade plastic mold.

Butterfly was die cut using a Cola can and Joy Craft die #6002/0027, then colored with Copic markers, attached to the Cola tab with a glass bead for the body and wire wrapped around tab. The tab was attached to the notebook paper with Tim's Tiny attacher staple. The butterfly is still free moving like a charm.

Stamped the ink bottle (Judikins #3377F) with the black and cut it out. Stamped the glass pen (gg design Pen Set #891-A-2) with Versafine Blue Lagoon and clear embossed. Added some Quickie Glue and Ritz micro fine glitter "Royal Blue" in the white areas of the stamp. (PS I have one of those kind of glass pens and they are just glorious...). Stamped the cupcake  on dark brown cardstock with Perfect Medium and embossed with white embossing powder, then added Glossy Accents  in the flourish area to mimic the glaze of the chocolate icing - Yum...

Everything was then layered and assembled.
